Encouragement for Daughters Walking Aging Parents Home

Becky Fields knows firsthand how difficult it can be to care for an aging parent while trying to make wise decisions about their future — including what to do with the family home. That’s why she created Daughters of Naomi, a place of encouragement, spiritual support, and practical wisdom for women navigating this season.
Whether you’re just beginning this journey or deep in the decisions, you’re not alone.

There’s a place for women like you to connect, share, and support one another — no judgment, no pressure. Just women walking this road with faith and grace.
A Word from Becky
“I’ve walked this road with my own parents and my mother-in-law — through heart failure, cancer, and autoimmune disease. Each goodbye shaped me. I created Daughters of Naomi not as a business move, but because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, guilty, sad, and unsure of what to do with the house, the paperwork, and your own heart. This is a place for women like us — women who want to honor their parents and not lose themselves in the process. I do help with the house. But here, the focus is you — your heart, your healing, and the grace to keep going. If you’re walking this path, come join us in the Daughters of Naomi Facebook group. You don’t have to carry it alone.”
— Becky Fields, the Grandma Who Buys Houses
Q: Becky, is Daughters of Naomi just for women?

A: Guys, of course you can participate! But I’m here to tell you — studies show that women carry about 75% of the load when it comes to caring for aging parents. I’ve got friends doing seminars on this, and they tell me it’s more like 90% women!
That doesn’t mean the men are bums… On the contrary, I’ve known some really solid men. But to tell you the truth?
Those men shine because they know their place! They are supportive, work hard whenever they are asked, write the checks, and are committed to complete any task you give them. They are finishers. But mostly, they typcially let the women do the heavy lifting.
You’re welcome at my place and can even participate — but I’ll be speaking to the women mostly. Thank you for your support! We couldn’t do it without you!
