Let’s Figure Out What’s
Right for Your House

Most people who reach out aren’t sure what they want to do yet. That’s exactly the right time to call.

Most people who reach out to me aren’t sure what they want to do yet. They just know they have a house situation — and it’s starting to feel heavy.

That’s exactly the right time to call.

I’m not going to ask you to fill out a form before we talk, and I’m not going to show up with a contract in my hand. What I do is sit down with you — at your kitchen table, on your front porch, wherever you’re comfortable — and we figure out together what actually makes sense for your house and your life. Sometimes that means selling to me. Sometimes it means I list it for you on the MLS. Sometimes it means doing nothing yet. I’ve told people all three.

If you’re dealing with a home that belonged to your parents, or you’re thinking about downsizing, or foreclosure is creeping up on you — you don’t have to have it sorted out before you call. That’s what the first conversation is for.

From the First Call to the Day You Decide

Step 1: Just a conversation.

You call or text me directly — no form, no assistant, no callback queue. I pick up when I can, and I call back when I can’t. We talk about the house, your situation, and what’s been on your mind. I ask questions because I’m genuinely trying to understand what you’re dealing with, not because I’m qualifying you for an offer. This call usually takes about fifteen minutes. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Step 2: I come see the house.

If it makes sense after we talk, I’ll come by in person. I want to see what you’re working with — the good and the not-so-good. Please don’t clean up on my account. I’ve walked through houses in every condition you can imagine, and I’m not there to judge. I’m there to understand what the house is, what it might need, and what your realistic options are. Most walkthroughs take about thirty minutes.

Step 3: We look at your options together.

This is where I lay everything out. Not just one path — all of them. Depending on your situation, that might be a cash offer from me, listing it on the market, doing some work first to get a better price, or waiting until the timing is right. I’ll tell you honestly which one I think fits best and why. You can ask me anything. I’d rather spend an extra hour answering questions than have you make a decision you’re not sure about.

Step 4: You decide. On your timeline.

There’s no expiration date on the conversation. If you need two weeks to think, take two weeks. If you need to talk it over with your kids, do that. If you decide not to sell at all, I’ll tell you that was the right call if I think it was. My goal isn’t to close a deal. It’s to make sure you feel good about whatever you decide — and that you know you had someone in your corner who was straight with you.

Hear It From Becky

Becky Fields, Grandma House Buyer, explaining how she helps Houston homeowners think through their options

Transcript:

Hi, I’m Becky Fields — the Grandma House Buyer. If you’ve landed on this page, you’re probably trying to figure out what to do with a house. Maybe it’s yours. Maybe it belonged to someone you love. Either way, I want to tell you exactly what happens when you reach out to me — because I think it’s a little different than what you might expect.

The first thing I want you to know is that I’m not going to pressure you. I know every company says that. But here’s what I mean by it: there have been times I was convinced I could have persuaded someone to sell to me — but instead I advised them to list it on the market, because that’s what made more sense for them.

I’ve told people to wait. I’ve had conversations that didn’t lead to a transaction — and I was glad I could help them think it through anyway. That’s how I work.

When you reach out, you’ll hear from me or from Jonathan — he’s been with me for seven years and knows this business as well as I do. And if you text me, there’s a good chance I’ll see it right away.

We are real people. I can’t promise we’re faster than one of those national apps — but we know your name, and we pick up the phone.

We’ll talk about your situation — the house, what’s going on in your life, what’s making this feel complicated. And then if it makes sense, I come see the house in person. I don’t need you to clean it up. I don’t need it to be in good shape. I just need to see it so I can be honest with you about your options.

And that’s really what I’m there to give you — options. There are four paths most Houston homeowners have when it comes to a house like yours. Selling as-is, listing on the market, doing some work first, or waiting. I’ll walk you through all the options. And then you decide. No deadline. No pressure. On your timeline.

I’ve been doing this in Houston for a while now. And I love sitting at the kitchen table, hearing stories about what this house meant to the family. It matters. To you, and to me.

If you’re ready to start the conversation, call or text me at 346-598-2424. Or scroll down and send me a note. And if you’d rather start by typing, click the purple box at the lower right — that’s Rose, and your conversation comes straight to me.

In any case, you’ll hear back from a real person.

I’m Becky Fields — the Grandma who buys houses.

I Know What a House Can Become

One of the houses I’m most proud of is one that didn’t make sense on paper.

It was a ranch house in Southwest Houston. When I first walked through it, every room was walled off and compartmentalized — living room, den, dining room, kitchen, breakfast room, all closed off from each other the way houses used to be built when nobody questioned it. There was an added room that had problems of its own. And it was dated in every direction. Think avocado appliances and shag carpet.

But you had to have an imagination to see how this house could be a showplace — and I had one. My engineer husband knew how to make my dream a reality, and we ended up with a kitchen and a bath to die for.

We took the walls down. We opened the layout. We put in an island that gave the whole space a center of gravity. I’ll be honest with you — we over-invested. We modified so much that we crossed the threshold where the entire electrical system had to be replaced. From a pure investor standpoint, the numbers didn’t sing. But when it was done, it was stunning. The kind of kitchen I would want in my own home. Bright, open, warm — the kind of room that makes you want to stay a little longer than you planned.

I’m proud of that house.

I tell you this not because every house I buy turns into a showcase — it doesn’t. I tell you this because when I walk through your house, the story matters to me. Your house’s history matters. The future story of the family that takes over your property matters. I’m not just running numbers. I bring both my head and my heart to what I do — and I have a genuine understanding of and interest in what a house is worth in dollars and emotions, and what it can still become.

When Becky Fields makes you an offer, she understands where your house has been. And she thinks about where it’s going.

Still Thinking It Over?

That’s fine. Most people are when they first reach out. Take whatever time you need — and when you’re ready to talk, I’ll be here. You can call or text me directly at 346-598-2424, have a conversation with Rose using the purple box at the lower right, or simply fill out the form below and I’ll get back to you personally.
